In accordance with the Private Security Act 2001, individuals wishing to work in the private security industry must hold a recognised qualification before applying for a licence. This involves completing a structured training programme that leads to a recognised security qualification. Without a qualification endorsed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), your licence application may be refused.

    Duration 6 Days Course Fee £250 per person Qualification Overview This qualification has been developed to meet the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for Door Supervision. It is based on the relevant SIA Specifications for Learning and Qualifications and provides the learner with the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence and work as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry. This is a six-day course, with each part assessed as outlined below. It is generally very achievable with a couple of hours reading per night. You will be required to take a short level 1 English literacy test on the first day, in order to do this course. If you wish to do this beforehand to be sure you can take the course, please contact us to arrange this. Entry Requirements To register for this qualification, learners must be aged 18 and over. It is required that SIA Door Supervisor Training Course attendees have a minimum Level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.This will be tested on Day 1 of the course. Attendance on all six days is compulsory to complete the course and gain this Award. Learners will also need to show that they hold a valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate. The training centre must confirm that the learner has this qualification PRIOR to attending the SIA Door Supervisor course. The First Aid certificate must also be in date for at least 12 months.       Learners will need to show that they hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate* that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
